Boyd Biology: Coming Fall 2021

Independent, Online Course

Boyd Biology is an introduction to the remarkable world of living things in a completely online flipped classroom format, offered by independent field ecologist and innovative science teacher, Will Boyd.

This course serves as a full-credit high school biology course. It includes an introduction to biochemistry, cell biology, microbiology including viruses, algae and protozoa, fungi, invertebrate and vertebrate animals, and an introduction to botany.

This course is the culmination of twenty years of teaching biology in the field, brick & mortar, and online classroom, including at North Carolina State University, the University of Idaho, Veritas Scholars Academy, Logos Online School, and others. The class format will be flipped, each week consisting of two pre-recorded lectures and one live Zoom meeting.

This course covers the big topics rigorously and gets students out into the field to truth test all of our theory. Several guest lecturers will make appearances throughout the year making this a dynamic and highly relevant course. Register today or contact will@homeschoolscience.org with any questions you may have.
