Extraordinary Ecosystems

what_eco_map_lg

Ecosystems are complex, diverse, and changing continually. Studying them is very challenging. And they are absolutely fascinating in their constituents, the wild relationships that often exist between species, and the brilliant and beautiful tapestries of biotic and abiotic components.

We will be periodically adding pages below which will detail a few of the myriad ecosystems found throughout the world. For each Ecosystem you will find information about key species, important relationships between species, and connections to people who live in and interact with these ecosystems, and explanation of important ecological processes that take place in these places.
