Birth

Birth is probably the single most life-changing event an adult can experience. I never cease to grow and be humbled by the total reliance I am brought to during this process. Such fragile, remarkably and beautifully constructed little toes, and eyes, and the complete metamorphosis from aquatic breathing to using little lungs. The whole thing is mind-boggling and terrifying and wonderful. Thank you Lord for birth to humble us and make us more reliant and thankful and for our children that we receive. Help us to remember this miracle of their birth throughout their lives as we grow in relationship with them and more and more with you.
