Introduction to Exploring Circuitry and Computing
Have you or your children been looking for a way to learn the basics of electronic/computing components and coding? Getting started can often be the hardest part and so can the potential cost. Solution: Enter, Arduino! Arduino is a relatively inexpensive prototyping tool that serves as an excellent stripped down system for learning about components and how to code for them. Join us as we explore Arduino and learn together!WHO: Students age 12+ and parents
WHEN: Five Tuesdays*, beginning May 19 from 7:00-9:00 pm
WHERE: Moscow Church of the Nazarene (1400 East 7th St), Moscow, ID
WHAT TO BRING: Your laptop, pre-loaded with the software found here, a notebook (with graph paper), pencil, and most of all an willingness and excitement to learn together.
COST: $25 per student

- Gain familiarity with electronic/computing components
- Learn how to configure components on breadboard (including soldering)
- Learn how to use a programming environment to bring it all together
Students will be able to take their kit home to continue learning and exploring in between classes. Arduino is a powerful open-source prototyping tool. Get some introductory training and exploration and then launch off on your own!
