Thoughts from a Homeschooling Mother: Conference Re-cap

HomeschoolMomIt was really refreshing to see so many dads there and to meet other families brave enough to be homeschooling!

The mom’s panel was the most useful for me.

My husband enjoyed meeting and talking with Dr. Wilson.

The kids had a phenomenal time on the playground, in the sandbox, running circles, and especially doing the Palouse light experiments and LEGO building.

I was excited to learn about We Do robotics and helped one of the kids complete a motor powered LEGO crocodile that was programmed to bite your finger when you put it in his mouth. I love the picture method LEGO has used to teach programming and so wish they had something like this when I studied computer science 20 years ago! I had to learn FORTRAN for pete’s sake!

P.S. Thanks for the coffee and the gluten free snacks!

– Kc Morris (Editor’s Note:  Awesome homeschooling mom of 4)
